As with any metal-based product, regular maintenance is the key to extending the life of your Force USA Power Rack or All-In-One Trainer. Following are some recommended tips to keep your equipment clean and rust-free for years.
Cleaning
Cleaning and disinfecting your strength equipment without proper care can accelerate the formation of surface rust on all metal surfaces. To help avoid this from happening, follow these simple instructions once a month.
First, wipe down the metal surfaces with a damp cloth using warm water and dish soap on all surfaces you'd like to clean. Second, thoroughly wipe things down using a clean, dry towel—ensuring all metal surfaces are dehydrated. Third, employ a Mr. Clean “Magic Eraser” or any equivalent to remove smudges or grime.
Avoid over-cleaning metal surfaces and using harsh chemicals, such as antibacterial wipes, as they could accelerate rusting and deterioration of the steel
In addition, you’ll also want to lubricate all metal surfaces with a thin, light oil treatment because metal products—even those with powder-coated surfaces—can quickly form surface rust.
Surface rust can occur from condensation, humidity, temperature, and sweat on tiny scratches, dings, or cracks in the powder coating surface.
Maintenance
Follow this procedure at the time of purchase and then every three months to help protect the metal surfaces on your strength equipment.
First, wipe down all metal surfaces with a clean, dry towel. Second, put a light coat of 3-in-ONE oil on a clean cloth and wipe down all metal surfaces. Third, wipe down all excess oil with a dry towel. Higher humidity areas and machines frequently cleaned may require more frequent applications.
Additionally, we recommend wiping down the machine with a clean, dry towel after each use to remove residue from sweat or bodily oils.
